Busy, Busy, Busy

Life is sooooo busy. It seems my "To Do" list is never ending. Taking time to update my blog has fallen to the bottom of my list. I've decided to give myself a goal- to update my blog site once a week, whether I'm ready or not. Our 3 adventures in the last couple of weeks include: Camping at Goblin Valley with the Hodge Family, Walking the SLMarathon 5K with the Jones Family, and cleaning out my childhood home FULL of memories. Each of these events makes me think of my new favorite song (thanks to cousin Sandie) by Gary Allan , "Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride". Sometimes struggles & changes are soooo hard & lonely. But, with fabulous family & friends we get stronger and wiser! Spending time with Family & Friends has shown me LIFE is BEAUTIFUL! I am so grateful to be alive, to be healthy, and to be spending time with my girls & Darren!

Meet DAISY our new pet BUNNY

Believe it or not The Hunsaker Family owns a PET. If you ask the girls why we don't have pets, they will answer, "My dad is an animal hater"! Unfortunately for Darren, the females in his life absolutely adore ALL animals. If they could, they would live on a farm. In order of pet preference: horse, dog, bunny, cat, anything that will wear a collar and a leash. How did "the animal hater" cave and let his girls have a pet?... Their MOM! I took the girls to have pictures taken with the Fotogenix bunny rabbit (see above). The girls literally cried when we had to leave the bunny at the studio. Being a mom with a big heart- I melted and entered the contest to win the photo bunny. Guess what? We won! Just a little FYI: our FREE bunny has cost mom a fortune (cage, hutch, food, bedding, treats, collar, leash, etc.). The things a mother does to bring a smile to her little ones' faces!

Sweet Sisters = Utopia

This picture is one of my favorite (and I have a ton to choose from). The girls look soooo sweet and loving. They look like the sisters I've always dreamed of having (I only have one brother). BUT- Don't let this sweet-sister photo fool you! These three little girls can be a terror to each other. Bethany takes her "oldest" job very seriously. She is the ultimate BOSSY girl. As long as everyone does what she says, life is good. Isabelle is the typical "middle" child. She is pretty even tempered but is looking to find her place in the family. Ask her any question, and her first response, is "NO". At age two, MacKenna can hold her own. If you get in her way, watch out- she hits, pinches, bites, and screams! And with that- my Utopia of picture-perfect-sisters disappears.

The Beginning

Lately, I've been reading so many of my friends' blogs; I decided I'd better get with the program and join in the techology. So here's to the BEGINNING of some Fun Festivas in communication! As an introduction: We are the Hunsaker Family: Darren, Tara, Three GIRLS, & new pet Daisy the Bunny. Our favorite color is PINK (just ask Darren). Life is always busy at our house. We run, run, run. No one in our house can say they are ever "bored" or that we don't have a "zest" for life. Our days begin at the crack of dawn, thanks to our "rooster" Isabelle. And our days end late into the wee-hours, thanks to our "night-owl" Bethany. We send our LOVE to all our family & friends and hope you will enjoy keeping in touch with our family thru our new blog.
